This is your specifically designed training and skills programme to help prepare you for your first Cycle Tour by Virgin Active SA in partnership with Cycle Lab and the Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Cycle Tour.
Whether it’s always been your dream to participate in this fantastic event, you were dared to do it or you just want to experience it with the whole family, we’re here to get you to the finish line. So get ready, arrive motivated, make some new friends and have a blast!
The programme will be presented from 2 February 2013 to 2 March 2013. (Only on Saturday mornings).
If you’re not a premier member, you will be granted access to the relevant clubs presenting the course for the duration of the course.
The programme will be hosted at the following Virgin Actives:
- Tygervalley – Cape Town
- Constantia – Cape Town
- Gateway – Durban
- Bloemfontein – Northridge Mall
- Menlyn – Pretoria
- Cedar Square – Fourways, Johannesburg

Done the Argus seven times before, but keen to join in and experience the feeling.
Done it four times and feel that one month is hardly enough to even get started? Is there some secret ingredient that I’ve missed all these years?
That’s summing it up very well!
Can the programme also be presented at a club in the south of JHB Like Glenvista or Meyersdal? Some of us just cannot get out all the way to Cedar Square in fourways.
Tony unfortunately we are only able to host the events at these clubs owing to logistics reasons. We will do our best to make the programme available for those who aren’t able to come to the club.
I would love to be part of this programme but locations in cape town are too far for me. I trust V Active will be ensuring their active users assisted in best way possible. Thanks (Athlone V Active Member)
I trust V Active will be organizing alternatives for the members who cannot make it to the clubs in cape town since I can only make it to Athlone branch. Cannot wait to be part of this AWESOME pragramme.
It would be a thought to maybe train the trainers first, meaning if all VA Indoor Cycling Instructors could be trained on the Argus Course, they can just take it back to there respective classes and implement at the various clubs throughout SA, cheers Elroy Le Roux (VA Indoor Cycling Instructor – Cape Town)

Great idea. Wish it would be held at Steenberg club too as there are many cyclists there. I have done Argus Tours but still like extra motivation. Obviously I have left my training late.

I’m interesting in cycling the cape argus how must I enter
I know that this might be a stupid question to ask, but can people who are not members join this course?
Not a silly question at all, but unfortunately these classes are only for Virgin Active members.
I am a virgin active member but only at Broadacres. Can i attend the Cedar Square sessions?

Tertia you can cancel via the eventbrite website. If not, I’ll try cancel it from our side.
I tried to cancel it via the eventbrite website, but there is no option to cancel, only to register. I registered for the first cession in Tyger Valley.
